Join NYEP's Community Living Program

You’ve likely come to this spot on our website because you’re interested in joining our CLP and turning your life around. Well, were glad you’re here. Our housing program focuses on offering full-circle, comprehensive support to those young women, ages 18-24, who are truly committed to making positive life changes for the betterment of themselves and their community. Your situation is unique, and we want to hear about it. And, more importantly, we want to hear any and all of the bright plans you have for your future. Plus, we’ll help you identify and act upon life plans as you go through our program. As part of NYEP, you’ll get support in nearly all areas of your life, including finishing your high school education, volunteering within the community, learning to live with others as part of a family unit, finding employment, starting a savings account and qualifying for affordable housing and even college scholarships. If you’re ready and you’re committed, we want you here.

You May Qualify if You…

  • are a female adult aged 18-24 (emancipated 17 year olds will be considered)
  • are willing to submit to an initial drug test and future random testing

  • have the capacity to be productive for 40 hours each week
  • are willing to enroll in an education and/or vocational institution and obtain your High School Diploma/GED (if you don’t already have one)
  • are willing to work toward achieving self-sufficiency and moving on to independent housing within 18 months
  • are physically, mentally, emotionally and behaviorally ready to safely reside in the home and use and benefit from program services
  • are willing to commit to 9-18 months of living in the program so all individualized plan goals are met

"Please note: NYEP is an independent living facility for youth 18 and up (under 18 from WCDSS on approval). Our agreements are made with youth and no one else. For this reason, we prefer to receive applications from and schedule interview with the youth directly. If you are referring a youth to our program, please send them the link to this application and encourage them to apply on their own if at all possible. Supportive adults are welcome to attend tours with prospective residents. Thank you for...."
