NYEP GIRL COST BENEFIT LEVERAGE

 

Monica ​DuPea ​says, "your donation after taxes costs you 80¢ to 90¢ on the dollar and goes towards the $60,000 housing and training cost for one girl's two-year NYEP program. Our Girl gets married and has two children, breaking her family trend of being a lifetime welfare recipient and avoids passing that burden on to her children.​ ​Total welfare costs were $19,355 per person per year in 2018. That is $77,418 for a family of four for say 50 years without even considering inflation equals $77,418 x 50  = $3,870,900. NYEP Donors effect a tremendous bang for the buck. $3,870,900 saved divided by $60,000 invested =  $65 returned per $1 invested; that is amazing leverage. More importantly Our Girl lives a fulfilling satisfying life and passes that along to her children and their children."

 

Many system reliant people are able bodied but live poorly and end up cash strapped with no assets, ​few positive experiences, low self esteem​,​ and ​they ​miss out on feeling the true pride you get from being high on accomplishments. The government cannot help these people and those of us that earn our keep know​ ​better. 2. Programming (teaching, opportunities to practices, accountability, reporting)

3. Resources (hygiene, cleaning, laundry, OTC meds, school supplies, incentives (awards), cell phone, transportation, cable/wifi, program supplies, office supplies)
