Excutive Director

Monaca Du Pea is Excutive Director of Nevada Charity Evaluators, Inc. She brings to NCE her keen ability to think of creative solutions and then lead her team to take action and implement them. President of the Board of Directors

NYEP Board President and Prominent Reno Family Law Attorney Marilyn D. York says:

"Monica is a problem solver, an optimizer, and a social entrepeneur who does so much with a little bit of money.  She adds value to your donations by a factor of two or three times by having her own volunteers, modestly paid staff, and herself providing a sanctuary with food, shelter, love, and teaching to cause unemployable homeless girls to reach for the stars.  In doing this since 2007, she has discovered methods and opportunities to multiply her Community impact by influencing other worthy charities and their founders to soar.

I have known Monica DuPea since 2011 when Hillary Schieve (who later became Reno's mayor) introduced me to Monica and to Nevada Youth Empowerment Project (NYEP) that Monica had founded and was running.  I was instantly amazed at Monica's dedication, sacrifice and passion for helping young vulnerable, underdeveloped, under supported and unemployable women who had no place to live who were heading nowhere with no one who cared.

Well, Monica cared deeply and took up their plight in 2007 when she rented a house and founded the non-profit NYEP to begin her and their journey of success.  Through non-government support by loving caring donors, NYEP has [Read More....] grown and has graduated many self sustaining young women who otherwise would likely be welfare recipients without satisfying lives of their own.  As Executive Director and through much self sacrifice and dedication, she has garnered donor support and created a most viable home for otherwise homeless young women.  This home is complete with love, guidance and mentoring and has graduated over 100 young appreciative women.

You will be shocked with awe to know how dedicated and selfless Miss Monica is and to understand her magnificent obsession to improve other peoples lives by helping them in ways they cannot help themselves and where no one else is likely going to help them.  Although Monica especially loves to help female youths who are vulnerable, under developed, under supported, and under prepared for employment and other life challenges, she has way more to offer this community.  Monica works long hours seven days a week taking no holidays or vacation days off with low pay and no benefits.  The NYEP girls are like Monica's own children and she is always there for them often at her own expense.

Monica DuPea is the founder and director of the Nevada Youth Empowerment Project and the founder and director of  Truckee Meadows Housing Solutions. She is an expert on homeless youth and is pioneering a path to provide housing for our working poor. Monica has been recognized as a City Super Hero, a Reno Riveter, a Local Legend, and a Top 20 under 40 by the Young Professionals Network.

There is a much older man who has joined into Monica's journey who has become her supporter, tutor, mentor and encourager.  He is the same man who helped me through law school, start my own law practice and run the business side of my law practice for decades so I could devote all of my efforts to being the best attorney possible.  This unusual man takes no title nor credit and his passion is to help a select few people a lot who in turn help many other people in a variety of ways.  He likes to remain anonamous and be characterized as a human catalyst and enjoys being a part of success stories through motivating and brainstorming sessions to facilitate the highest possible outcomes.  We call him Mr. C ("C" for Catalyst)."

Mr. C says, "I love helping a few select people who selflessly help others by encouraging them, supporting them and brainstorming opportunities and how to optimize such opportunities with them.  My obsession is to catalytically create high success for a few people who have already paid it forward, but can be enabled to multiply their ability to help others because of my influence and your financial support. I am currently obsessed with catalyzing Monica to be able to do much more community good with the same amount of her personal time (which is already maxed out) by influencing and harvesting unrealized opportunities with leverage."
